While nature has traditionally been idealised as erotic, modernity has created erotic environments in the form of cities. Urban spaces carry with them myriad erotic currents that enable exchange across economic and cultural boundaries.
The “generic city” of our times, where social life is shaped by consumption, reaches a new erotic dimension: love affairs are affected by flux and change within a “free-feeling market”.
Under the direction of Flavio Albanese (architect and former Editor-in-Chief of Domus), Nicolas Bourquin and Thibaud Tissot (onlab) and in the context of the editorial design workshop “onlab summer school”, 20 international graphic artists and designers will visually translate “love, intimacy and seduction” for publication and present the results at the DAZ on 27 October 2012 at 7 pm with music and drinks.
