Solarnext AG
The company SolarNext AG specializes in membrane structures. They have been working on the next generation of integrated solar panels, or photovoltaics, that are going to make a dramatic difference to our architectural and energy-generating surfaces in the near future. Their new foils with vapor-deposited solar cells are very thin and very flexible. They can be applied to a range of surfaces – in particular the new generation of membrane building structures, freeform shapes, and blob architecture. Compared to standard solar panels, the makers claim, the foils are very low cost, easy to clean and low maintenance.
